Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.Ok...here goes nothing! I am attempting my first ever Not Me! Monday post!
I had a "kind of eventful weekend, if you can call two days of cleaning "eventful". Friday, I went over to my mom's house to clean for her because she has been so busy with work and running errands. That I will admit to right off the bat since it makes me look like a much better daughter than I actually probably am.
On Saturday, I woke up kind of late. I did not proceed to start cleaning on my own house as soon as I got out of the bed, without even eating a bite of breakfast first. That would just be silly not to take care of myself first, before worrying about the house. (I did take a break to throw a pork shoulder roast in the slow cooker so we would have something to eat for supper.) After a whole day of trying to get my house straightened, I did not spontaneously decide to load up my steam cleaner and accessories to go back to my mom's house in order to shampoo her living room and hall carpet for her while she was at work yet again. That would be way overachieving, which I am not when it comes to cleaning.
When I returned home after not shampooing mom's carpet, I turned off the slow cooker since my pork shoulder was done. I did not then try to carry the slow cooker, which was still way too hot, over to the sink (which is about an inch away from where the slow cooker was sitting) to drain some of the water out of it. It did not slip at which point I was not trying to hold onto it causing myself to not fall in my kitchen floor, which means there was not pork shoulder and liquid all over the floor as well. Because all of this did not happen I do not now have a bruise on my 4th toe on my left foot and a bruise on my knuckle and lower half of my ring finger of my right hand. Nor do I have redness from the burn to my wrist and part of my lower right arm. I also did not let my dear husband G clean my mess up by himself because he said he was worried about me and just wanted me to sit down for a minute. That would be mean to leave a mess like that for one person to deal with, and I am not that kind of wife.
On Sunday, I was not still sore from the previous incident that did not happen. I did not spend most of the day reading all the updates of Stellan on MckMama's blog, whom I am now not addicted to reading. I did not cry at the posts and I definitely did not spend the rest of the weekend worrying about him and praying for him and their family. (OK....ALL of this I did do. I cannot imagine and will not even try to pretend I know what Stellan's parents are going through. I have a 2 year old myself and I worry about him everyday but I still can't imagine if he was seriously ill like so many kids. I DO pray that the doctors find a way to get Stellan out of SVT and that this precious little boy continues to wow people by continuing to be the little miracle to his family that he is).
Well, that is it for my very first Not Me! Monday post. Hope you enjoy it!!!
